Drugs & Cosmetics Diagnostics & Labs Telemedicine FSSAI & Food Marketplace Model
A Vitmeds India Private Limited Initiative Hybrid: Own + Partner Network
Effective date: 17 November 2025  |  Last updated: 17 November 2025

1. Our Hybrid Marketplace & Licence Model

RxnCure is a brand owned and operated by Vitmeds India Private Limited. The platform is being developed as a hybrid multi-vendor marketplace, combining:

  • Own inventory / owned outlets operated under valid local licences (for example, “Vitmeds Pharmacy”).
  • Onboarded third-party partners such as retail pharmacies, wholesalers, diagnostic labs, imaging centres, doctors/clinics, ambulance providers, blood banks, homecare providers and food / nutrition vendors.
  • Future food & wellness offerings backed by FSSAI and related compliance frameworks.

In this model, Vitmeds primarily functions as a technology platform and marketplace facilitator. The actual provision of clinical, pharmacy, diagnostic, emergency or food services is carried out by the respective licensed Partners, each responsible for maintaining their own registrations and regulatory compliance.

2. Drug & Pharmacy Law Compliance

Under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and allied rules, drug sale licences in India are issued state-wise and premises-wise. There is no concept of a single central drug licence that covers all locations.

Accordingly, RxnCure follows these principles:

  • Each pharmacy or medicine-dispensing outlet visible on RxnCure will hold its own valid retail and/or wholesale drug licence, issued by the competent State licensing authority for that particular premises.
  • Where Vitmeds directly operates a pharmacy or outlet, that location will function under its own State-issued licences, with details clearly printed on invoices and available in compliance dashboards.
  • Third-party pharmacies onboarded as Partners must furnish and maintain their licences as a condition for participation on the platform, and may be subject to periodic KYC / compliance checks.

How licence details will be surfaced after launch:

  • The dispensing pharmacy / seller of record and its licence details will be shown in the order journey and on the invoice.
  • Store profiles and Partner panels will have structured fields for licence number, type, issuing authority and validity.
  • RxnCure may restrict, suspend or delist Partners whose licence documentation is found invalid, expired or non-compliant.

2.1 Prescription-Only Medicines & Controlled Substances

  • No sale of prescription-only medicines without a valid prescription issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP).
  • Secure prescription upload, storage and access control as per applicable data protection norms.
  • Stricter scrutiny and additional guardrails for scheduled medicines, controlled substances and high-risk categories.
  • No facilitation of sale of banned, recalled or prohibited drugs.
This pre-launch website does not enable live ordering or dispensing of medicines. Transactional features, including licence displays, will be rolled out on the production platform in a phased and compliant manner.

3. Diagnostics, Radiology & Lab Compliance

For diagnostics, pathology and radiology services, RxnCure will onboard independent diagnostic centres, corporate labs and imaging facilities. Each such Partner is responsible for:

  • Maintaining applicable registrations and approvals (e.g., Clinical Establishments registration where notified, AERB compliance for radiology, and local health department requirements).
  • Obtaining and maintaining NABL accreditation where applicable.
  • Ensuring that sample collection, testing, reporting and data handling are carried out in line with regulatory and professional standards.

RxnCure will capture and display relevant accreditation and registration information for diagnostic Partners (for example NABL status, registration identifiers) on their profiles and/or booking flows where feasible.

Test reports are issued by the respective lab or diagnostic centre and should be interpreted by qualified clinicians.

4. Teleconsultation, Clinics & Clinical Services

Teleconsultation and clinical services accessible through RxnCure (including via the RxnDoc ecosystem) are delivered by independent Registered Medical Practitioners (RMPs) and licensed clinics.

  • Doctors must hold appropriate medical qualifications and registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or relevant State Medical Councils, or corresponding councils for AYUSH systems.
  • Teleconsultation features will be aligned with the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020, covering identity, consent, documentation and e-prescription norms.
  • RxnCure acts as a technology intermediary linking patients and doctors and does not substitute or override professional clinical judgement.
  • Users are advised to seek immediate in-person care for emergencies and life-threatening conditions instead of relying only on online consultations.

5. Ambulance, Emergency & Blood Bank Compliance

For ambulance, emergency response and blood-bank related services, RxnCure plans to work with licensed Partners who comply with transport, health and safety regulations in their respective jurisdictions.

  • Ambulance providers are expected to maintain valid vehicle permits, RTO registrations and equipment standards, as required under local regulations.
  • Blood banks and blood storage centres must hold all necessary licences and approvals from competent authorities and adhere to applicable guidelines for collection, screening, storage and distribution.
  • Key permits and licence information will be recorded in Partner profiles and surfaced in emergency booking flows where appropriate.

6. Food, Nutrition & FSSAI Compliance

For food, nutrition and related categories, RxnCure operates under the umbrella of Vitmeds India Private Limited, which holds / will hold a valid FSSAI Central Licence for eligible food operations.

Detailed FSSAI licence particulars (including licence number and scope) will be updated on this page and on relevant product journeys closer to launch and will also be printed on invoices, packaging and Partner dashboards, as applicable.

  • Third-party food / nutrition vendors onboarding onto the platform must maintain their own valid FSSAI registrations / licences.
  • Vendors must comply with applicable FSSAI labelling, hygiene and safety requirements for the products they list through RxnCure.

  • Each seller / Partner (pharmacy, lab, doctor, ambulance provider, food vendor, etc.) remains independently responsible for licence validity, service quality, professional standards and lawfulness.
  • RxnCure implements partner onboarding checks (KYC, licence validation, document collection) to a commercially reasonable extent.
  • We provide mechanisms for user feedback, complaints and takedowns where any Partner or listing is alleged to be non-compliant, unsafe or misleading.
  • RxnCure may restrict, suspend or delist Partners who fail to meet our compliance, quality or safety standards.
